Almost:
“OK. I’m Sam Brownback. That’s B-R-O-W-N-B …”
Standing before a TV camera Tuesday for his first local media interview since launching a presidential exploratory committee, Sen. Sam Brownback answered a reporter’s request that he spell his name.
Iowans such as Linda Rydak, a Cedar Rapids waitress, acknowledged, “I’d be lying if I told you that I’ve ever heard of Sam Brownback.”
The entire Kansas City Star article is pretty funny.

Boy, I’m really glad I found your site. Didn’t know who to support in ‘08 but now I’m Brownback all the way!
When all the arguments against a man consist of bigotry against the man’s religion, you know you’ve found the right man.

Sam Brownback opposes stem-cell research that has the potential to cure many people with disabilities.
Who’s bigoted now?

Right, because the past 4 years of one-party government have been such an unqualified success.
I think 2008 will be 1992 all over again. The Republicans’ obstruction of the Democratic majority will backfire (so much for not criticizing the nation’s elected leaders during wartime!) and the conservative vote will either split or stay home, since neither of the current Republican front-runners is popular among the evangelicals, but the evangelical vote alone is not enough to propel any Republican to the White House.
It’ll be fun to watch the Republicans self-destruct.

“I think 2008 will be 1992 all over again.”
So will 2010 be 1994 all over again as well?
“It’ll be fun to watch the Republicans self-destruct.”
That is certainly a different view of the upcoming Congress. Since the Democrats are now the ones in charge and on full display (but without mandate, right??), I would hardly say it is the Republicans turn to self destruct.
