Brownback Applauds Call for Ethics Reform

by @ 12:52 pm. Filed under Corruption

Senator Sam Brownback had the following comment after the President’s State of the Union address:

“I think both sides applauded a number” of the president’s proposals, Brownback said. “We need ethics reform…. You’re going to see immigration reform… We need to get spending under control.”

Like Brownback has any room to talk about ethics reform. Do remember he had to donate to charity $42,000 that he received from Abramoff associates. He also donated to charity $5,000 he received from the defense contractor embroiled in the Duke Cunningham bribery scandal.

What evidence is there that the money Brownback received was procured illegally or unethically? As of right now, he donated the money simply because of impropriety due to association.

I never claimed the money was procurred illegally or unethically. But it did look bad, and that is the reason he gave it away.

So then, what is the point of your original post?
