For any of you who doubted Senator Sam Brownback endlessley pontificated during the Alito hearings, the statistcis are in. According to a blog named “Nihilist In Golf Pants”, during the Alito hearings Brownback spoke %68.1 of the time, leaving 31.9% of the time to let Alito himself answer the questions.
One caveat with these numbers. I have never read that blog before. It is cited by numerous reputable blogs, many conservative. I would verify the numbers, but I don’t have the time. I just want you, the reader, to be fully informed about the source.

Quite the assumption here. Could it not be that Judge Alito had nothing more to say in response to the senator’s questions, instead of not having enough time to answer? Could it be just that he did not need more time to respond?
Yes, Sen Brownback spoke about Roe and compared it to Plessy. This is what the American people need to hear, not because it helps Sen Brownback, put because it is a truth one will not hear in our public schools or in the MSM.
And did you realize that Sen Brownback decided to forego further questioning when he was alloted another 20 minutes? This kind of flies in the face of the “Brownback is grandstanding” argument you have been making.

“Quite the assumption here.”
I wouldn’t say so. I watched him in the hearings. He did go on and on about abortion. I don’t blame him, it is his cash cow. But those are the facts.
Do you really think Brownback was using the hearings to decide if he was going support Alito?
Brownback declined further questioning because he had already made his point and got the news mentions he needed. Anything further would have been redundant.
Thanks for stopping by!

Did not write that he was using the hearings soley to decide on whether or not he would support Judge Alito. What I did write was that you assumed Senator Brownback did not give Judge Alito enough time to answer. And that is not necessarily true.
And your welcome, maybe I’ll stop by more often.
